About the team you are joining

Air Cargo has been resilient since the outbreak of COVID19 pandemic, it continues to provide the much-needed capacity for the transportation of emergency and commercial goods; it also provides much needed" bloodline" for the airlines and other air cargo stakeholders to maintain its revenue bottom line as well as improve its cash position.

IATA's CargoIS (cargo intelligence service) is the focal point for information services within the air cargo supply chain.

Intern - CargoIS will be reporting to product manager CargoIS, he/she will be part of an exciting project that will rebuild and enhance the CargoIS suite of products to ensure its class leading position.

You will support the product manager to focus on communicating the product value proposition to its client base by performing data extraction and analysis to build use cases and its visualization, performing data transformations as well as data quality checks to demonstrate potential enhancements.

You will also have the opportunity to observe and participate in some of the product management activities.

What your day would be like

Perform data extraction and analysis to build use cases in order to present the product value proposition.
Support the implementation of new data sources by performing testing and assisting entities submitting data in achieving data format, structure and content requirements.
Present the analysis finding in a virtual manner in story telling fashion.
Support the communications to promote CargoIS to wider audience.
Observe and participate in product management activities.
Perform additional duties as required.

We would love to hear from you if

Recent university graduates with bachelor's degree (within one year of graduation). Major in Computer Science or mathematics or economics can be a plus.
Passionate about aviation industry and strong interest in data. Experience with data analysis fundamentals is a plus.
Familiar with data visualization and analysis tool. Proficient in using MS excel and working knowledge MS access an asset. Capable of presenting data in a visual manner.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Detailorientated.
Team player and can work under pressure
Must be fluent in written and spoken English, other language would be a plus
