Job main responsibilities

Omya Consumer and Environmental Solutions (CES) is Omya business Segment dedicated to all our business activities in Consumer Goods, Agriculture and Environmental applications. Omya CES is looking for an Head of Technical Service Manager, mainly dedicated to the development of its environmental business in Air Treatment.

The Technical Services Air Treatment supports the technical implementation of our differentiating solutions at our customer sites through consulting and trials. Main objective is to support our sales development through technical projects in various Air Treatment subsegments.

The role's main responsibilities include:

• Leading overall technical development in target Air Treatment sub-segments, including market trend evolution monitoring on targeted sub-segments.
• Working closely with our Sales department in the 3 Omya regions to grow our business in Air treatment and achieve our overall business targets.
• Develop and maintain technical expertise linked to our products and associated applications. This include participation to the clarification of our Value proposition and then deployment of our global branding strategy.
• Develop partners network to improve Omya's capability in performing large scale Air Treatment trials at customers' sites.
• Coordinate with customers technical projects to switch to Omya technology to improve overall customer process performance, safety and sustainability aspects.
• Define and implement technical communication strategy. Participation to Fairs, Conferences, to improve visibility of our technology portfolio.
• Work with R&D and Engineering teams to facilitate new products' introduction.

Candidate profile requirements

Education and practical experience:

• Degree in a related technical field (e.g. process/industrial/chemical/mechanical engineering), or technical apprenticeship with 5+ years of practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally connected to air treatment technologies (scrubbers systems, operating air treatment facilities)
• Practical experience in the following fields is advantageous: Automation and process control, powder and slurry handling.
• A profound understanding of air treatment technologies for acidic pollutants removal or other heavy metals removal is necessary.
  

Furthermore, the candidate should provide:

• A pragmatic, solution-oriented, and hands-on mindset with a drive to deliver success while meeting quality and safety expectations.
• Project management skills with a proven track record of successful execution of complex projects.
• Ability to effectively communicate in project teams of diverse cultural and professional background in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in English (both written and oral) is required, additional languages (German, French) are a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% (predominantly in Europe)
• Location in Switzerland at Omya HQ in Oftringen is preferred.
