As the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for a Workday Solutions Architect with 5+ years architecture experience to drive a strategic Workday HCM integration.

This is an initial contract running for 12 months with option to extend on a long term basis based on the project road maps, with start date latest in July 2023.

This role is part of a Modernization program, within the Workday HCM implementation team.

The Solutions Architect will work with stakeholders, internal technical teams, and 3rd party resources to implement and configure Workday according to specifications, design, and target architecture.

In addition to the implementation project, the Architect will be expected to support integration projects.

As a Workday Solutions Architect, you will provide guidance in designing, configuring, and implementing HR processes and functionalities in Workday.

You will also have experience in data analysis, mapping legacy to Workday data model, and in data migration activities.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Work closely with the HR team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Act as a "go to" person for technology workstream (Vendor and IT tech experts, Corporate Security experts etc.) during the complete implementation cycle
Ensure the design and implementation follows best practices for functional and nonfunctional requirements
Periodically review and drive the implementation team towards standard Workday features vs customizations keeping performance, scalability, and cost impact in mind
Design, configure and implement complex processes and functionalities to meet business requirements
Assist integrating Workday with other systems
Participate in the design discussions and architectural decisions
Maintain and support the existing processes in the Workday platform
Support data analysis and data migration between legacy and Workday systems
Coach and assist colleagues who are less experienced with the Workday platform
Produce technical documentation

Principle responsibilities will be to provide design and implementation support to the Innovation Hub projects using the Azure Cloud services

This includes:

Solution Engineering: Support the design and implementation of the BISIH innovation projects.
Cloud Engineering: Support implementation of a flexible Azure cloudbased sandbox environment which enables the Innovation Hub project teams to iterate and pivot rapidly.
Scripting and Infrastructure as Code: Develop Powershell, Python, Terraform and Ansible code to manage and interact with Azure cloud services and Windows/Linux operating systems.

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess as many of the following skills as possible:

Workday experience (minimum 5 years of experience working with Workday and covering architecture work)
Experience defining HR business and systems design, developing system requirements, and implementing practical business solutions
Good understanding of cloud computing concepts (security controls, integrations, access)
Strong understanding on integrations (experience with integrations will be beneficial specifically in what regards people data integration, understanding the implications and impact, downstream)
Fluency in English

The following are nice to have but not mandatory:

Workday certification is an advantage
Experience with business process design and optimization is an advantage
Experience defining the data architecture and data migration approach is an advantage (HR data)
Experience integrating Workday with PeopleSoft HCM specifically is an advantage
Familiarity with GDPR regulations

Please note interviews would be conducted via video call, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland
