The Institute of Virology of the Vetsuisse Faculty at the University of Zurich (UZH) is an internationally recognized competence center in many areas of virology research.

It has an excellent research infrastructure and works on a wide range of research topics, molecular, translational and interdisciplinary.

The institute consists of the following groups/departments:
experimental virology, veterinary virology, environmental virology and diagnostics.

Your responsibilities:
It is assumed that the job holder will bring in a

successful, innovative research project in a relevant area of virology and is
**actively participating in teaching and the promotion of young academics.

Your profile:
Applicants must have degree in biology or veterinary/human medicine and a PhD title.

You have an excellent scientific record in the field of virology, possibly already successful acquisition of competitive third-party funds and a strong commitment to teaching and the promotion of young scientists.

What we offer:
A 100% postdoc position limited to 3 years in a dynamic team. The conditions of employment are based on the rules and legal framework of the University of Zurich.


Place of work:

The Institute of Virology is located on the Irchel campus of the University of Zurich on the grounds of the animal hospital.

Start of employment:
The position will start on September 1st, 2023 or by arrangement.
