- Ship's management in cooperation with the 2nd Captain according to existing law and regulations
- Managing/instructing nautical crew with docking/manoeuvring of the ship
- Assisting Captain with docking/sailing/manoeuvring of the ship (when required)
- Basic and advanced training of Sailors
- Coordinating and assigning tasks to Sailors and Deckhands for the ship's maintenance
- Good command of German and/or English language
- Competed training with valid Captain licenses for Rhine/Danube/Elbe and/or other rivers
- Minimum 1 year of experience on a similar position
- Radar and Radio Transmission licenses
- Certificates for "Safety Expert for Passenger Vessels" and "First Aid" are a benefit
