The Global Construction and Infrastructure (GCI) Division has an exciting opportunity for a
Data Scientist .

As the Sales and Marketing arm for Excavation, Earthmoving and Load & Haul, GCI operates all around the globe to support customers and dealers in a highly competitive environment.


Within the GCI Insights team, this role supports the Sales teams in telling compelling stories with data that empowers organizational leaders to make better and more informed decisions.

The incumbent will be mainly responsible for designing and maintaining data in preparation for analysis and to communicate insights/recommendations to the sales teams.

This position provides a unique opportunity to learn about our commercial organization while working on complex business issues.


What You Will Do:


  • Designing and maintaining data systems and databases, including troubleshooting potential issues
  • Mining and cleaning data in preparation for analysis
  • Identify integration issues with other projects/processes and coordinate the improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals.
  • Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and business strategy across the world to leverage regional development into our worldwide organization.
  • Communicating insights with business teams and key stakeholders
  • Preparing reports which effectively communicate GCI Key metrics.
  • Preparing strategic recommendations for process adjustments, procedures, and performance improvements

What You Have:


  • Business Statistics and Query and

Database Access Tools:

Knowledge of statistical tools, processes and practices to describe business results in measurable scales; knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use.


  • Proficient skills in
    Power BI including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) & Power Query M coding.
  • Demonstrated experience with
    Snowflake .
  • Explains the basic decision process associated with specific statistics.
  • Programming languages: Strong knowledge of
    SQL is required.
  • Requirements analysis ability to confirm deliverables associated with requirements analysis and communicate with customers and users to elicit and gather client requirements.
  • Accuracy and Attention to detail utilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and crosschecking outputs; accurately gauges the impact and cost of errors, omissions, and oversights.
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills ability to communicate in a simple and clear way complex concepts and data. Enjoys interacting and collaborating with others with various cultural and professional backgrounds.
  • University degree preferably a Master's in data analytics, statistics, or finance with a very strong knowledge of Data Science Minimum 2 years of experience in developing Power BI Analytics solutions.

Additional information:

Limited Travel requirements (10-20%).
Flexible office policy (3-day per week).

The position is based in Geneva, Switzerland. International relocation is not supported.

A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position.
