About this job:


An expert Project Manager with 10 + years of project management experience, strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the business, and the ability to lead project management, and drive large, complex projects to successful execution, ensuring that business objectives are realized.


Location:


  • Zurich, Paris or Dublin

Governance

  • Lead L&H PMO. Management of L&H BU project management governance framework, portfolio of projects, including overall budgeting, tracking and reporting to key stakeholders across L&H and PartnerRe
  • Project Management center of excellence (CoE) for the L&H BU
  • Maintain project management processes and methodologies. Look for opportunities for continuous improvements to ensure relevance with best practices, and ensure these are aligned with other project management offices within PartnerRe

Project Management

  • Senior Project Manager for the L&H division responsible for providing project management leadership on large, complex projects with global reach. Responsible for leading, overseeing and ensuring effective project delivery
  • Plan and execute projects, including managing scope, requirement changes, multiple and competing demands and priorities as well as determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk using appropriate factbased metrics/ assumptions
  • Facilitate and perform business process design/reengineering and lead process implementation
  • Develop and deliver communications for projects (including status reports) and special topics to leadership (senior management, ELT and CEO), internal stakeholders, vendors, project team and L&H employees
  • Facilitate efficient and effective communication with other program/project managers and stakeholders
  • Provide training and guidance to stakeholders within the Life & Health business unit and PartnerRe on Project Management methodology, processes and tools as required

Competencies/ Experience required

  • University degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Strong project management skills with 10 + years of project management experience
  • Experience in the L&H reinsurance and or life insurance industry with a good understanding of the operations
  • Knowledge and experience in L&H reinsurance process design and implementation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills. French and German language knowledge would be beneficial
