Fluent in English or French and good working knowledge of the other
Strong organizational skills and welldeveloped IT skills
Experience teaching IB Diploma Programme and Middle Years Programme in an international setting an advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Possess a comprehensive and complex understanding of inclusion
A caring, sensitive attitude towards students, with a good understanding of the importance of pastoral care within a school

To complete our team, we are looking for a:
Learning Support Teacher and Coordinator - 1-year contract (with the possibility of continuing in a similar role beyond this time)

Full-time - 18 Period(s)

Responsibilities:

Oversee the provision of support for students with a wide range of needs in the Secondary school
Lead and coordinate a team of specialist Learning Support teachers and assistants, in promoting and monitoring the academic welfare of students from Y7 to Y1
Provide Learning Support for students in individual or class sessions as and when required
Oversee and contribute to the writing of student ILPs, management of SEN register, student transition from primary school, and special accommodations
Liaise and coordinate with colleagues, parents, and inhouse and external specialists, such as psychologists, speech therapists, etc.
Oversee and support the Professional Development of all the members of the department
Assist the Secondary Principal in carrying out the strategic plan of the school
Work closely with the Director of Education in line with her strategy
