The HR Analytics Manager is responsible for ensuring the availability of Data Analytics information and analytic tools related to the crew operations.

The primary goal of this function is to develop a strategic plan for an effective data analysis and reporting to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making within the crewing departments.

The HR Analytics Manager will be the primary point of contact for different stakeholders across the organization, including IT Department, Talent Acquisition Team, Workforce Planning Team, Crewing Team, HR Teams, and operations teams, to support the availability and maintenance of data tools to drive efficient crew management processes and optimize crew workforce planning.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as Analytics Manager\/leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience in the cruise\/maritime industry.

  • Demonstrated leadership cultivating and motivating teams of high performing individuals, including effectively leading through managers of managers.
  • Take an active role in promoting positive attitude toward culture, core values, compliance, and safety within the operations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including statistical analysis, data modeling, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Visio).
  • Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

Leadership and Development:


  • Collaborate with and provide to the IT Division developers the operational requirement insights on daytoday tasks, grouping, prioritization and visualization of information to ensure data quality and alignment in the overall crewing strategy.
  • Ensure that the skills of the team is at par with current business intelligence and reporting tools through regular training and skills assessment.
  • Enable a continuous discussion with the management team across the crewing operations in promoting analytics maturity by introducing metrics, KPIs, and SLAs measured through reports and dashboards.
  • Initiate 360 feedback loop between analysts and stakeholders to promote a synergetic and harmonious sharing and use of data between teams.

Strategic Data Planning, Analysis and Reporting:

  • Build the analytics strategy to align with the overall HR and Product Development goals.
  • Oversee the analytics side of HR planning data across the Cruise Division.
  • Collect, consolidate, and maintain crewrelated data from various sources, including internal databases, external systems, and thirdparty platforms.
  • Ensure data definition, accuracy, completeness, validation and integrity through regular quality checks and data cleansing activities.
  • Develop and implement efficient data management procedures and workflows to streamline data collection and reduce manual efforts.
  • Perform indepth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to crew performance, availability, training, documentation, visas, certifications, and other relevant factors.
  • Generate regular and adhoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and provide actionable recommendations to the HR crewing community.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to present complex data in a concise and understandable manner.

Forecasting and Data Driven Support:


  • Collaborate with HR Crewing teams across the organization and operations teams to draft forecast analysis for crew requirements based on vessel schedules, maintenance plans, and other factors.
  • Analyze crew deployment and availability data to optimize crew allocation, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and resource optimization to enhance crewing efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support crewing managers in making informed decisions through datadriven insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, crewing best practices, and regulatory changes to provide proactive recommendations for crew management strategies.
