Position Summary
We are currently looking for a highly competent

Global Procurement Manager based in Switzerland, responsible for managing commercial and sourcing activities for

Paperboards (cardboards and consumer boards) used by Nestlé worldwide.


In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools, and policies.

Located in hubs in Switzerland, Panama and Malaysia, our division provides a range of services, including the management of procurement for specific raw materials, packaging, indirect materials, and other services.

A day in the life of a Global Procurement Manager for Paperboard

  • Act as the paper expert within the Packaging Procurement organization
  • Define and implement the paperboard category strategy, utilizing Strategic Sourcing processes, tools, and policies
  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management and the commercial relationship with paper mills
  • Perform market/category/supply risk analysis and negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with the paper mills
  • Build the bridge between mills, converters, and Nestlé's technical teams, to develop new structures/solutions
  • Training and development of internal stakeholders on paper value chain, different technologies, financials, and structures
  • Drive Nestlé sustainable packaging agenda with the mills
  • Represent Nestlé in external associations
  • Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies, and standards.

What will make you successful

  • University degree in Paper Science and Engineering, Packaging Engineering
  • Expert level technical knowledge for Paperbased Packaging, technical background is an asset
  • Min 8 years of commercial experience (sourcing or sales) in the Paper industry
  • Experience leading sustainability projects within the Paper value chain (e

g:
deforestation prevention, carbon reduction)

  • Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder management experience
  • Proven track record in working in different teams in complex and matrix organizations
  • Understanding of National and International Procurement Regulations
  • Demonstrated use of risk management, responsible sourcing, and supplier relation management
  • Fluent in English, another language would be an asset.
