Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Avaloq as the head of Back & Middle Office.

Acting as a general manager for the service development organization in the area of Back & Middle Office, you are responsible for delivering end-to-end services to banks and financial institutions that fulfill their expectations in terms of quality and time-to-market.

You will be part of a talented and highly-motivated group who is ready to make a serious impact for our clients and to the industry using your experience, optimism, and energy to define, design to build our next generation of products and services.

Your key tasks

Delivery

Define, drive and enable key objectives
Optimize the organization and implement measures for increased productivity, quality and reliability
Advise line managers, product managers and software architects on key decisions
Support the client management and sales team by providing relevant artefacts (presentations, factsheets etc.) or by direct involvement in pitches and workshops
Shape and manage budget

People management & Leadership:

Inspire with your handson and servant leadership attitude
Foster and support professional growth of team members
Promote a cando and collaboration culture
Communicate proactively within your organisation and Avaloq as well as with clients and partners
Resolve both external and internal conflicts with empathy, positivity, and flexibility
Take accountability as single point of contact and enable the organization to scale through delegation
Set priorities and organize your division

Qualifications:

You have a strong demonstrable proven track record of managing complex software product development organizations for wealth management, financial services, or digital banking platforms
You have a technical background allowing you to challenge and advise the team on key topics and decisions
You are a skilled negotiator and discussion partner, capable of engaging with senior management, including Csuite executives using your strong technical and business acumen
You are an experienced leader that exhibits gravitas, leadership and problem solving skills with a "get things done" attitude and object oriented approach
You will be articulate and confident in English with the ability to confidently deliver complex and challenging content and messaging

It would be a real bonus if you have

Professional proficiency in German
Professional experience with ACP
