Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Global Program Head to join a fantastic pharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis located in Lausanne.

Our client is focused on improving patient results and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

For this role, you will train, handle, and assist personnel to accomplish business objectives.
As the Global Program Head, you will drive and steer the execution of the program method in cooperation with the pertinent functions in agreed timelines, budgets and resources.
Lead novelty, offer drug development knowledge and tactical guidance to the programs and project teams, comprising of all preclinical, clinical, technical, regulatory, operational and commercial fields.
You will develop and uphold external communication method around the programs aiming at various shareholders, for example: patients and possible outlicensing partners.
Outline the vision, general development method and operational execution for the allocated programs based on regulatory and market needs to attain drug approval and maximise the outlicensing value of the programs.
Responsible for securing internal alignment on vision and method with governance bodies, board members as well as across functions.

Requirements:

Educated to a PhD degree level in a life science field, preferably in microbiology, though an MBA with corresponding experience or a medical doctoral degree would be ideal.
At least 8 years of experience in drug development with a background in guiding multifunction drug development teams within anti0infective.
Familiarity with endtoend international drug development in various therapeutic areas which involves infectious illnesses.
Acquaintance with oncology would be advantageous.
Prior involvement in a project management role with experience in risk management and comprehension of the necessities for successful commercialisation of a new drug.
Familiarity in guiding and managing a R&D team.
Able to think methodically across drug development functions with the ability to scope and challenge their plans and deliverables.
Past involvement in taking a pharmaceutical product to POC and/or registration and comprehension of the drug development continuum from prePOC to postPOC and commercialisation.
Knowledge in crucially comprehending scientific and commercial data and in translating interdisciplinary project information into action plans.
Acquaintance with engaging with international health authorities and in report proposals for new indications.
Capable of handling and training experts from various functions.
Business insight and competitive landscape comprehension of the pertinent therapy area.
Fluency in the English language with knowledge in French would be ideal.
