Job Description About the role**Location: Baar, Switzerland

As Biogen portfolio continues to evolve including Rare Disease and beyond, this role leads and drives all Customer Excellence & Operations (CE&O) related patient finding capabilities and activities predominantly, in close collaboration with key cross functional stakeholders:

  • You define and align Biogen's patient finding strategy and operating model ("what is patient finding") in partnership with the Rare Disease iCoE & PDC Identify global operational plan to develop a structured patient finding scope and approach that can be implemented at both a global and local level for all markets ex-US
  • In partnership with key stakeholders (PDC/iCoE/local affiliates), mapping patient journey to identify and activate new innovative solutions with external stakeholders (patient organizations, hospitals, governments, EPI groups etc) to drive initiatives leading to patient identification
  • You lead analytical approaches to identify patients via partnership with data sources including patient record/health care data sources/patient registries to identify key customer groups/patient groups to target via affiliates resources or 3rd parties to activate.
  • Lead and/or coordinate rare disease patient identification initiatives, either with single affiliates to IDr opportunities for global scaling or broader initiatives across countries to drive initiatives
  • Here you proactively gather best practices from across markets to provide central global guidance based on relevant archetype and opportunity, driving identification and scaling of successful initiatives across affiliates
  • Define, lead and drive key projects across the omnichannel environment, delivering programs with peripheral, community, and/or multidisciplinary customers that enable disease awareness, genetic testing, and referral building
  • Partner internally with key functions such as Medical, iCoEs, TA's, PDC, CE&O/Data Science and affiliates to identify new opportunities for successful patient finding initiatives
  • Build core patient finding capabilities in close partnership with key stakeholders across the organization

What you'll do

  • Develop patient finding strategy and operation plan. Defines and scopes clearly what patient finding encompasses and build core patient finding capabilities
  • Identify required resources across the organization to support activities
  • Lead and drive patient finding activities in close partnership with key stakeholders (internal & external), ensure that initiatives are effectively executed as well as progress and effectiveness continuously monitored and decisions timely made on continuation, scale or stop
  • Partner internally and externally to identify and prioritize opportunities and pain points with external organizations/parties for implementable initiatives covering:
a) Before Diagnosis

b) At/Peri Diagnosis

  • Identifies and activates advanced analytical initiatives based on access to external data sources and patient journey mapping, that can either lead to direct patient identification or new target groups/dynamic targeting for activation in affiliates

Key sources include:

  • Collecting/Contracting Realworld data (registry access, PAG databases etc)
  • Exploratory analysis using advances analytics, AI based on multiple data sources
  • Leads/facilitates abovemarket omnichannel campaigns targeting nonprescribers that enable patient finding through disease awareness, genetic testing, referral building
  • Being closely embedded with PDC/iCoE/affiliates to explore new opportunities and review progress and prioritization of existing activities across the product lifecycle (from clinical trials through commercialization)
  • Leads evaluation of ongoing activities based on effectiveness in creating desired outcomes, drives identification of best practices, and decision making for scaling across affiliates.
  • Proactively gathers and shares best practices across affiliates

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Required. MBA a preferred
  • Minimum experience requirements necessary to perform the job
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
