Department of Business Administration, Chair of Mathematics for Business and Economics_

Research Assistant (PhD student)

Your responsibilities:

Developing, managing and publishing research projects within the field of approximate dynamic programming or revenue management
Assisting in teaching of introductory math or optimization classes
Supervision of Bachelor or Master theses

Your profile:

Strong background in mathematics and an excellent master's degree in (applied) Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related, quantitative field of study
Solid knowledge of optimization and/or stochastic processes
Good knowledge in at least one higher programming language (e.g. Matlab, AMPL)
Strong motivation for scientific research and teaching
Good organizational and communication skills
Reliable team players
