To strengthen our Life Sciences team, we are looking for an
Intern Data Engineering with Life Sciences Background - (M/F/d) for a period of 6+ months**-

Bring to life what's next:


  • Collaborate with the team to develop effective and engaging presentations for clients.
  • Develop storylines that effectively communicate complex data analysis to a nontechnical audience.
  • Work with team members to create compelling data visualizations that support the storylines of presentations.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows using programming languages such as Python, R or Java, and related tools such as Airflow, Luigi, or Jenkins.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate data processing tasks.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and data analysts to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Build and maintain data storage and retrieval systems (e.g. data warehouses) to enable efficient data management.
  • Assist with data cleaning, processing, and analysis tasks as required.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of data management and governance frameworks.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve presentation and storyline effectiveness based on client feedback.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective project delivery.

Your qualifications:

Academic excellence: currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields.

Consulting experience: previous experiences in consulting favorable.

Conceptual talent: strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Communication and presentation skills: Fluent in English (C1 level, written and spoken). German or French skills would be a plus. Strong communication skills and proficiency in presentation software such as PowerPoint, Prezi, or other relevant tools.

Digital affinity: strong programming skills in Python, and R. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.

Cultural fit: high reliability, team spirit, and personal fit for a leading global management consulting firm (international orientation & openness to travel, integrity).
