Group Procurement Director/VP - Aluminium (M/F/d)Overall responsibility
Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) operate 23 metal production facilities in 9 countries, employing 5,000+ people and have global sales of approximately $4.0bn.
The position holder is accountable for a spend worth ~$2.2bn globally.The scope of the role covers all spend in the following categories:
Aluminium Can sheet and Tinplate
The role holder is responsible for generating and implementing effective sourcing and category management strat-egies and has significant direct impact on the financial performance of Ardagh through the delivery of savings and working capital improvement.
This role places a heavy emphasis on strategic supplier collaboration to unlock significant savings, to gain preferen-tial access to capacity, innovation, value engineering, and to achieve our sustainability targets, with a special focus on CO2 reduction.
The role reports to the Chief Procurement Officer, is a member of the Ardagh Procurement Leadership Team and works closely with the Regional Procurement Teams and the CFOs of BUs across Europe, North America, and Brazil.
Accountable for category strategy development for Aluminium Can sheet and delivery of exceptional finan-cial results (cost and cash) as well as agreed non-financial KPIs
Recognized "thought leader" at Ardagh through developing a high and comprehensive knowledge of the categories leveraging benchmarks, new and innovative technologies and insights from suppliers and indus-try knowledge providers
Develop a vision and strategic objectives for the category by assimilating business requirements and supply market analysis, including key strategic pillars such as SRM, negotiation strategy, cost modelling, sys-tem/technology requirements, Continuous improvement
Drive effective collaboration with the regions
Team Management
Set-up proper resources allocation and means according to category's objectives as well as business pri-orities
Support the CPO and Procurement Leadership team by championing procurement process and technology improvements projects.
Lead by example in deploying the global/regional collaboration matrix
Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and encourage close liaison between regional procurement heads and category leads to improve the overall performance of the team
Category Management
Lead/orchestrate high value negotiations and tenders, securing competitive pricing whilst ensuring security of supply
Lead all legal contracting activities for the category
Develop category benchmarks and should cost models, drive deployment and valorisation thereof into the regions
Deploy expertise in commodity risk management to influence and improve internal risk management pro-cesses
Track levels of risk and provide management information on risk assessments and feedback via agreed risk reporting mechanism
Provide input and influence the use and development of key e-tools e.g. contract management, spend and transaction reporting
Drive the development of new market opportunities, new ways of working through the use of new technolo-gies (digital etc.)
Identify, develop and manage strategic business relationships to enable implementation of Ardagh's strate-gy, revenue growth and new product development initiatives
Oversee supplier relationship management activities, selectively involving directly with significant suppliers and ensuring business counterparts are equally as engaged
Business Partnering
Ensure active business partnering with Finance and Business Units CEOs, CFOs and Sales
Actively support & enlist business partnering support within Procurement
Clearly articulate implications of changes in category landscape towards internal business stakeholders
Ensure relevant and effective performance-tracking measures are in place
General
Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values through upholding our standards of business conduct, complying with Group policies and procedures, and leading by example
