Strategic partnerships coordinator (100%):


Role:


Working closely with the Head of Strategic Partnerships, the role of the Strategic Partnerships Coordinator is to fulfil the mission of the Strategic Partnerships unit, which is to identify, establish, and maintain strategic partnerships that promote collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development.

By leveraging strategic communication and innovative outreach initiatives, the Strategic Partnership unit aims to expand ISO's reach, engage with diverse audiences, and build a global network of support to advance the ISO Strategy 2030.

Furthermore, the unit provides a proactive approach to ensure ISO colleagues are aligned and well equipped to maximize partnership opportunities.

In that regard, the unit works closely with other units within the ISO Central Secretariat, notably the Sustainability, Communications, Standards Development, and Governance units.


The Strategic Partnerships Coordinator must be project-oriented, detail driven and well organized, and comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and teams.

This role is a unique opportunity for a culturally curious person with a proactive and collaborative mindset, with an interest to advance ISO's ambitious partnership objectives.


Key responsibilities:


In cooperation with the Head of the unit, the Strategic Partnerships Coordinator will serve as focal point for internal coordination activities, as well as for partnerships activities with external organizations.


Internal coordination activities:

  • Assist the implementation of an effective internal coordination strategy by organizing and supporting focus groups dedicated to crossunit partnership collaboration efforts.
  • Develop and maintain tools and materials to support the partnership development work, and guide other team members both within the unit as well as other units within ISO/CS.
  • Contribute to assessing opportunities against ISO policies and prepare reports as needed, for review by the relevant governance entities including the Secretary-General.

External partner activities:

  • Manage the daytoday oversight, assessment, and administration, including the maintenance of timely, accurate and accessible data on partnerships in a central data repository.
  • Draft and maintain partnership agreements, in cooperation with relevant business units.
  • Represent ISO to external parties when necessary. This could include formal and informal presentations, attending conferences/workshops, participating in advisory groups, attending as an observer, etc.
  • Supporting ISO's leadership (Officers, leadership team members, etc.) in partner events of primary interest for ISO, including managing the preparation of briefing materials and/or communication materials for the intended ISO representative.

Qualification and Experience:


  • University degree level education
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Additional languages are an asset
  • Experience in project management
  • Comfortable overseeing multiple projects at once
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment
  • Experience with change management is a plus
