Job Description:

Key deliverables during Program Development Quality (
PDQ ):

  • Work with the Global Program Quality Manager to establish regional quality targets and develop plans to achieve these targets
  • Ensure GM vehicles meet customer expectations by communicating and tracking Country Specific Lessons Learned (CSLL) (former Country Specific Requirements) throughout vehicle development
  • Provide clear and concise data and market feedback to support CSLL.
  • Escalate issues to Regional Quality Leader and Global Program Quality Manager (GPQM) if CSLL ́s are not met
  • Engage in Global Quality Councils and with GPQM to define countermeasures and sufficiency plans to achieve all quality targets
  • Participate in all PQRRs to ensure quality deliverables are on track
  • Organize and Lead Regional Start of Sales (SOS) PQRR.
  • Organize and Lead SUPI, MVBS Hardware, SORP Hardware PQRRs as necessary
  • Identify and escalate any risks to PQRR deliverables and confirm effective countermeasures are in place
Plan and execute the regional CTF (Captured Test Fleet)Process including:

  • Vehicle orders, timing, budgeting, and air shipment (if required)
  • CTF usage and tracking
  • Performing VESCOM and software updates as necessary during CTF
  • Issue definition, tracking, escalation and solution implementation
  • Execute Port of Exit / Port of Entrance Inspections
  • Lead Field Early Warning program with Regional Aftersales and Carline Team
  • Support homeroom engineering with ICV (In-Country Verification) process as necessary

Key deliverables for current vehicle
reliability:


  • Ensure current vehicle carline quality targets are met (IPTV, CPV, Compass PPH and warranty spend)
  • Document and track issues using Problem Resolution Tracking System (PRTS)
  • Report any and all safety issues through Speak Up for Safety (SUFS)
  • Work closely with GM Aftersales team as required to definition, root cause, resolve and communicate issues
  • Visit GM dealers regularly to identify and investigate vehicle quality concerns
  • Lead and support Operational Excellence Projects and Red X Problem Solving Projects to improve customer satisfaction, reduce service costs and optimize business performance.
  • Receive, inspect and send failed parts to supplier as necessary
  • Support quality target and issue status reporting
  • Monitor progress and lead time of solution implementation by source platforms and escalate delays or roadblocks as necessary.

Additional Job Description:


Knowledge:


  • Welldeveloped automotive industry experience in Engineering, Quality, Service or Manufacturing related fields.
  • Experience in Quality processes and Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP), quality systems and processes, production launch process, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Quality Assessment Process, Global Customer Audit, internal measures (warranty), external measures (VOC surveys such as J.D. Power, Consumer Reports, etc).

Skills:


  • Welldeveloped PC skills including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good presentation and communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Ability to work within crossfunctional teams to achieve program quality goals, ability to operate globally with regional counterparts to execute programs from global architectures, ability to obtain and provide data in a timely manner to drive quality improvements.
  • Main European languages (German, French, Spanish) very helpful. High English proficiency level.
  • Experience in problem solving tools such as Operational Excellence, Red X, 7 diamonds and DFSS is beneficial.
  • Project Management experience

Experience/Education:


  • Engineering degreed mechanical, electrical or equivalent.
years of relevant automotive industry experience is essential (in disciplines mentioned above).

  • Reliability and/or Service engineering experience will be advantageous.
  • Postgraduate studies are favorable but not essential.
