Montel Group are growing again To facilitate this, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Reporter to join our dynamic team.

As a Reporter, you will play a crucial role in covering key processes and decisions in Austrian energy policy, asses their impact on the industry and follow new developments in the energy industry and energy markets.

You explain the energy news situation in the country to the Austrian audience but can also make it understandable to an international audience and work together with colleagues across Europe.

You will be flexible and quickly on site when important appointments take place in Vienna.

In short, you will be working for us in a highly dynamic field of journalism in which the future of our societies is being negotiated.

A typical day will include:

• Collect, verify and analyze thoroughly newsworthy information
• Assemble findings into a stable story
• Write and deliver news stories with the reader's perspective in mind
• Publish or broadcast news stories
• Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips
• Abide by journalism's ethics and codes
• Contact, interview and research sources
• Maintain notes and audio recordings
• Cooperate with reporters, chief editor, producers etc.
• Stay up to date with the latest current events in the "beat" by studying papers, attending events etc.

What we are looking for:

• Your native language is German and you have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
• You can express yourself concisely even on complex topics, clearly separate facts from opinions and feel comfortable translating articles published in German for an Englishspeaking audience and vice versa.
• You can organize your daily work independently: Your structured way of working helps you to stay on top of topics in the long term and maintain an overview.
• You have gained journalistic experience in the field of energy policy or the energy and finance industry and are familiar with the political landscape and decisionmaking processes in Austria.
• You already have a broad network in the industry and politics or are able to build up and maintain such a network.
