Role Purpose


The Anti-infectives Global Platform Lead's primary role is to translate the AI strategy and 10-year financial plan, set by the Global Head B2B and Anti-infectives, into a globally verticalized operating plan in the retail sector that prioritizes investments across the retail Anti-infective value chain from internal development, life cycle management, BD&L, M&A, alliances, manufacturing and commercial launch and in-market portfolio (priorities, trade-offs and high-level operations).

The scope of the role encompasses global retail Anti-infectives strategy and operating plans that require execution alignment both horizontally and vertically across all company and CCO functions.

Operating in a global and regional matrix with commercial operations (regions/countries), the Global Platform Lead has the responsibility to drive and set pre-launch global value expectations and country launch requirements, as well as to provide and coordinate with global CCO finance and manufacturing a 'top down' global 3 year rolling volume plan for organizational planning.


Your Key Responsibilities
Lead the Anti-infectives global retail team and related decision/operating bodies (strategy, port-folio, pipeline, LCM and BD&L, manufacturing, commercial).

Create the Anti-infectives strategic plan: with the ultimate goal of ensuring competitive sustainable Anti-infectives growth for Sandoz and a clearly articulated pipeline benefit-risk profile (internal, external, time and risk oriented).

Align the Anti-infectives strategic plan and related investments to a 3-year rolling financial top-line and investment plan, ensuring aligned flow through to investment/operational plans for development, LCM, BD&L, M&A, manufacturing, IP and commercial regions.

Manages the plan across Sandoz to ensure full delivery for Sandoz globally across functions and global financial value delivery goals.

Own Sandoz final recommendation rights on internal pipeline choices: responsible for methodology, decision ownership and financial plan alignment for internal/LCM pipeline additions (requires final endorsement from Global Pipeline Board) in line with strategy and financial plan

Own Sandoz final recommendation rights on external pipeline choices: Rollout of clear methodology, decision ownership and financial plan alignment for BD&L and M&A pipeline additions (requires final endorsement from Global Pipeline Board) in line with strategy and financial plan.

Drive E2E pre-launch plan integration: ensure Sandoz assumption planning (Competitive intel, target product profile planning, COGS position, supply & forecast scenarios) from day 1 of product development initiation to the launch (top 10 country focus), including driving global decision on country launch opt-outs and global view of launch forecasts

Drive global in-market commercial value-assessment: develops and delivers, partnering with Sandoz CCO finance and manufacturing on a rolling 3 year global top down volume plan, as well as leading the global commercial lens on region high level target/LF setting processes (with CCO/CFO/CEO).

Furthermore, drives the commercial LCM analysis, priorities and execution to ensure last out planning realization for the unit.

In collaboration with STO, ensure delivery from the network of manufacturing and development sites across multiple countries, in particular, there will be a focus on allocating constrained supply to the right country and ensuring value maximization for Countries and Sandoz.

Ensure clear market, CI and top product performance monitoring, and may represent Sandoz to key external stakeholders (investor relations, industry bodies) leveraging these insights.

Situationally manage special projects, tasks or initiatives related to the role

  • Acquisition integration: managing the commercial integration of acquired assets

  • Divestment reviews: of key geographies or assets
  • Other management tasks: per adhoc or strategic requirements

Minimum requirements

  • University degree in/and Business Administration, Finance, Economics or pharma/medical
