Your responsibilities

The successful candidate will develop research projects linked to orofacial tissues using molecular biology, experimental embryology, stem cell biology and "organ-on-a-chip"/organoids technology. Of particular interest is research relating to the functional analysis of genes expressed during tooth development and repair. Responsibilities will include leading a grant-funded research program that promotes collaboration with other leading members of the Departments of ZZM, the University of Zurich and other national and international Universities; teaching activities; performing several administrative duties and other miscellaneous tasks.

Your profile

the applicant has to hold a PhD degree

the applicant has to have a minimum of two-years experience beyond PhD training in areas such as molecular biology, embryology and/or developmental biology, stem cell biology

the applicant is expected to have teaching skills and to be able to instruct at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including graduate course teaching in oral biology

the applicant is expected to demonstrate leadership and collegial interactions

the applicant is expected to establish research enabling collaborations with the different Departments of ZZM

What we offer

This is a three-years position with the possibility of extension to three years. Salary is based on Cantonal regulations and commensurate upon qualifications and experience.
