In this position, you will be responsible for providing visibility on outbound performance and outbound project portfolio to senior leadership. You take an active part in the identification of efficiency and innovation opportunities. You will engage with IT Distribution and procurement in the design, selection and implementation of a global transport management system.

Key Responsibilities Central Intelligence

Data and Performance

  • Maintain standardized performance metrics and tools
  • Drive outbound performance analysis incl. preparation of global reports, analysis of carrier portfolio, capacity needs vs secured, etc,
  • Drive data and root-cause analysis to identify efficiency and cost saving opportunities
  • Support Director Global Outbound in development of annual freight cost forecasting

  • Projects

  • Maintain visibility on project portfolio for the global outbound team (PMO)
  • Provide executional support to markets in case of burning issues

  • Systems

  • Act as Business Project Manager for TMS roll-out incl. alignment of business requirements to feed to Product Owner for purchase and configuration
  • Support TMS RFQ process together with IT PM and procurement

  • Community

  • Build and actively manage outbound logistics expert network for exchange of best practices
  • Key Responsibilities Market SPOC

  • Drive market performance analysis incl. preparation of reports, analysis of carrier failures, comparison of capacity needs and capacity secured, etc.
  • Work with market outbound on resolution of major carrier performance failures
  • Work with market outbound on adoption of global frameworks incl. performance mgnt, carrier mgnt, capacity planning, etc.
  • Review fit of carrier portfolio per market with procurement and market outbound
  • Review fit of capacity secured vs. need with outbound market Lead
  • Engage in carrier performance review for major local carriers
  • Support ad hoc projects incl. conceptualization and project mgnt

  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to lead and influence without formal reporting line
  • Ability to analyse and synthesize complex data sets

  • Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills to all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups) especially when interacting with different levels of business
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
  • Fluent English (verbal and written),
  • Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
  • Qualifications

  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 5+ year experience in supply chain and outbound transport
  • Extensive knowledge of ground transportation modes (parcel, pallet, LTL/FTL) in the consumer goods industry with emphasis on direct to consumer (DTC)
  • Understanding of the bigger picture and end-to-end supply chain with the focus on transportation (DC to customer, consumer)
  • Recent experience and current knowledge of Transportation systems capabilities, and technology platforms (real-time visibility, TMS, carrier integration platforms)
  • Vast experience in multi-national supply chain/logistics/transportation work experience in fast moving consumer goods industry (preferably apparel, fashion background).
  • Proven track record in driving change
