Job summary/Role description

The HVAC Specialist (EQS*) supervises the HVAC subcontractors in their own discipline, ensuring that the Construction works are performed according to the erection schedules and Project documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according to Quality & Safety as well as subcontract procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prior to the start of works, to check the VENDOR’s material and technical documentation delivery schedule, verifying that the same is in line with the Construction schedules and contractual commitments;
  • Prior to the start of works, to control and approve the Method Statements that are submitted, ensuring they are correctly applied on the field;
  • Check that the schedule is updated and to take action to deal with any delays;
  • Check that the equipment and manpower are adequate and that the works performed conform to the design documents, Safety regulations and to the Quality level.
  • Detect any design errors, and where possible rectify them or make a request to the DIEs to make the necessary changes;
  • Manage VENDOR specialists.

    • Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Suitable University Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent.

    • Experience

  • Significant experience in construction of fertilizer or petrochemical plants;
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as an HVAC Specialist.
  • Similar role covered in projects that are of a comparable size;

    • Skills and Abilities

  • Native Polish speaker;
  • Fluent English;
  • Excellent IT and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution;
  • Attention to detail, strong communications and interpersonal skills.
