Cell therapies will forever change the face of cancer care.GSK has a long history as a leader in cell therapy, starting with the launch of STRIMVELIS and the development of other cell therapies for rare diseases.GSK is now focused on leading the expansion of cell therapies in oncology to patients across solid tumors with letetresgene-autoleucel (lete-cel), an autologus TCR T-cell therapy targeting NY-ESO, as the lead effort.Lete-cel has shown promising results in subtypes of soft tissue sarcoma, is under active exploration in NSCLC and Multiple Myeloma, and has potential in a number of other solid tumors.

As the Marketing Director, you will play the central role in developing the HCP Provider Strategy and Tactics with key local operating company (LOC) partners to develop core promotional materials in support of the launch of lete-cel including HCP promotion and non-personal promotion.Reporting to the Global Commercial Lead for lete-cel, this role requires outstanding leadership and engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders (examples include community and academic oncologists, nurse practitioners, infusion and post-treatment support, office specialists, and patients). You will leverage deep customer insights and local market landscape (e.g., cell therapy dynamics, market trends and opportunities, competitive dynamics) to design optimal provider strategies that are in sync with the overall strategic imperatives for lete-cel.

You will work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Insight, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Multi-channel Marketing, Advocacy, Communications, and other critical functions to foster cross-functional alignment on provider strategies and executional activities creating an optimal commercial model for the launch of lete-cel. You will focus the organization on excellent launch execution and delivery as to provide a template for subsequent future cell therapy launches at GSK.

  • Lead the Provider marketing efforts to support the launch of lete-cel as the first oncology cell therapy at GSK

  • Partner with our Insights team to develop deep HCP insights, and identify appropriate provider opportunities and challenges

  • Participate in the development of the global commercial plan by shaping the tactical plan and budget required to achieve the brand’s stated objectives

  • Lead the execution of the Provider tactics, including brand positioning, message development, and other provider activities

  • Lead identification, development, and execution of key HCP stakeholder initiatives, including advisory board meetings with external experts and HCP engagement

  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional decisions for provider strategies, plans and tactics with the EU and US launch leads

  • Provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and agency/vendor partners to identify and implement market analyses, competitive benchmarking, and other key analyses to inform marketing tactics and programs

  • Manage partner agency and other vendor relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets to ensure proper and timely execution of objectives

  • Partner with regulatory, medical, compliance and legal through the development and approval phases to ensure all materials are held to the highest standards

  • Partner with Scientific Affairs and Congress Planning team and lead commercial activities at medical conferences

  • Contribute to a culture of “One Team”, driving organizational continuity and alignment across local operating companies (LOCs) and the Oncology franchise in a rapid-paced and agile way

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with LOCs, internal functional groups, business partners, global thought leaders, customers, and professional organizations to deliver timely and successful product launch

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, marketing, or science

  • Prior in-line marketing experience

  • Previous pharmaceutical experience, with key experiences shaping Provider Marketing strategies and executing on promotional tactics

  • Recent (within last 3 years) Oncology marketing experience and/or relevant Immunology / Oncology marketing experience

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA and/or advance marketing or science degree or equivalent

  • Experience in international marketing (non-U.S.) within a complex, global commercial pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization

  • Experience in the development and/or execution of commercial tactics for a cell therapy, gene therapy, or other one-time treatment in a rare or common disease

  • Well versed in core product marketing principles and campaign execution

  • Demonstrated ability to drive insights from analytics and create innovative customer-focused programs

  • Ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate decisions in a cross-functional team

  • Strong, team-oriented leader with excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence, lead, negotiate and work effectively at all levels within a matrix environment

  • Proven ability to drive external customer engagement
