Job Title: Senior Communications Advisor
Job Grade / Classification: Clerk Grade 9/10
Employment Type: Ongoing, Full-time
Location: Parramatta, or by negotiation

  • Flexible working conditions, based in Parramatta (or elsewhere by negotiation)
  • Starting salary from $110,745 (plus super and leave loading)

  • We have an exciting opportunity as a Senior Communications Advisor , you will plan and deliver communications, stakeholder engagement and marketing strategies to support the Department of Planning, Industry & Environment’s (DPIE) priorities.

    Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for managing a suite of projects and priorities for internal and external audiences.

    About You

    To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate strong experience and skills across a variety of communication mediums;
  • Be able to understand complex projects and distil information quickly;
  • Have outstanding project management skills;
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships to understand the needs and perspectives of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Be comfortable briefing senior executives and Ministerial offices on complex issues;
  • Be creative and willing to consider new ideas and alternate approaches;
  • Be comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities at once; and,
  • Have experience in marketing (preferred).

  • Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in media, marketing or communications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. IAP2 qualifications would also be considered favourably.
