Ever wondered how the trainers you are wearing made it to you? A global supply chain is characterized by the crossing of borders. The international movement of goods means taxes and regulatory requirements. In Global Customs we work towards facilitating and optimizing trade while meeting increasing regulation. You will be working within a diverse team, focusing on an array of projects ranging from valuation, to free trade agreements, and sustainable reverse logistics.
Support Global Customs projects defined by the VP Global Customs Support on customs valuation topics such as royalties, assists by reviewing license agreements and analyzing case law. Contribute to the completion of valuation procedures and policies. Assist in the implementation of duty optimisation schemes by applying Project Management methodology. Assist in cost center reviews to confirm costs to be included / excluded from the customs value. Research with relevant teams in adidas (Design, Development, Marketing, Sourcing, etc) the full explanation of any significant costs identified. Help maintain the preference program in the Americas by liaising with Markets, Factories and Liaison Offices to monitor and improve performance. Contribute to the success of sustainability projects by providing support on the regulations related to the cross-border movement of waste Support the preparation of key business analytics and executive summaries for senior management
Your Profile: At the end of Bachelor / Master’s studies in the areas of international law & business, international trade & customs, logistics, supply chain management, taxation Enrolled in University for the complete duration of the internship (6 months) or in the so called gap year between Bachelor and Master’s degree Good planning and organizational skills and ability to work and deliver in dynamic environments while adhering to specified deadlines Ability to read, analyze, interpret and explain laws and regulations Team player, enthusiasm and desire to learn Good communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Fluency in English, written and spoken. German is an advantage
