Position Summary

Our Nestlé Research & Development Center in Orbe, Switzerland, is dedicated to creating new products, processes, and packaging concepts for Infant Nutrition globally. It also provides technical support for major Capital Investment Projects at our factories.

As a Quality Specialist for Infant Cereals and Healthy Snacks, your role is crucial in ensuring Quality and Food Safety by Design. You will offer scientific and/or technical guidance to projects to deliver flawless, innovative products that meet business and consumer needs. Additionally, you will support markets with expert knowledge, aid in developing and approving new suppliers, and focus on chemical contaminants in baby food to meet requirements and deadlines.

A Day in the Life of a Quality Specialist for Infant Cereals and Healthy Snacks

• Promote Quality awareness company-wide.
• Support assigned projects, ensuring quality and food safety from development to factory launch.
• Ensure timely delivery of key documents.
• Develop and approve suppliers meeting quality and food safety standards.
• Assess raw material suitability for baby food applications focusing on chemical contaminants.
• Contribute to quality professionals' skill development.
• Provide on-time operational support, cost-effective solutions, and assist in product launches.
• Update standards based on business needs and latest knowledge, ensuring implementation in factories.

What will make you successful

• Degree in related field (Food Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, Microbiology, etc.).
• Proven QA experience in safety and hygiene.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D/Operations/Factory in Infant Nutrition production.
• Knowledge of Infant Food and chemical contaminants, experience in auditing suppliers are advantageous.
• Fluency in English - other languages are a plus.
