Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join the Infrastructure Architecture team in the Business Technology (BT) organization.

The Network and Telcom Architect Lead will be responsible for assessing the current and future needs of the enterprise infrastructure and leading the design and implementation of the network and telecommunication architecture.

This role will drive high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers and users.

This role will partner closely with the Infra Command Center team and other BT leaders to ensure proper service adoption and transition—this role reports to the Infrastructure Architecture Director in the Business Technology organization.


Essential Functions

  • Develop strategies and direction for network and telco solutions. (Wireless, LAN/WAN, Cloud, SDWAN, routing and switching, Firewall, load balancing, VoIP, and access control systems)
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure infrastructure architecture aligns with business requirements and goals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and telco issues while working closely with the Infra Command Center team and other BT leaders.
  • Architect and design scalable and highperformance solutions for telecom voice products.
  • Gather and provide feedback on lessons learned, best practices, and innovations on processes, procedures, and tools to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners to ensure effective delivery of services and solutions
  • Provide technical oversight on solution configuration, design, proposal, and deployment
  • Continually learn the newest technologies that align with business needs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards
  • Build and maintain technical documentation such as SOPs, design documents, operational drawings, and manuals

Management/Leadership

  • Mentor and lead a team of architects to resolve complex technical issues while delivering excellent customer service
  • Manage direct reports to ensure projects are on time and align with direction and initiatives of overall organizational plan
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive resolution
  • Influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute to the organization's success
  • Identify and build a standard set of KPIs based on business and technical input from multiple sources

Requirements:


  • 10+ years' experience architecting enterprise technology infrastructure, formulating Network and Telcom strategies
  • Indepth understanding and knowledge of telecom network systems and protocols, including MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, SD-WAN, MP-BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, H-QoS, and IPsec
  • Indepth understanding and knowledge of Internet architectures, WAN routing, LAN switching, and packet tracing
  • Experience leading and participating in large enterprise projects
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to understand complex issues
  • Ability to support other team members as needed, whether it is by sharing your expertise, collaborating on projects, or providing backup when they are unavailable
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience leading a team of infrastructure professionals
  • Experience translating business requirements to technical requirements
  • Knowledge of system lifecycle management procedures, e.g., patching, malware management, remote access procedu
