Senior-level role with end-to-end responsibility for M&A project execution. Manage internal and external project teams to deliver successful process (origination, approvals/governance, due diligence, transaction negotiation, post-signing). Partner with business units to screen and originate opportunities in line with approved corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities:

Lead project execution of M&A transactions, providing guidance and inspiration to deal team. Adhere to Lonza procedures
Communicate and manage internal processes for M&A, e.g. EC and board approvals. Persuade senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback
Develop relationships with key stakeholders in business and the functions to maximize productive screening and origination of potential targets
Gain deep understanding of Lonza strategy and provide external commercial focus to create actionable opportunities
Drive analytics with rigor and judgement. Own valuation and risk assessment of targets
Contribute to M&A infrastructure where appropriate, for example CRM system, intelligence assessment, precedent deal analysis.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

Bachelors or Masters in in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting with coursework in Corporate finance valuation
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Fluent in English; German helpful
Experience in M&A or strategy advisory (investment bank, consultancy, Big 4) a plus
Background in Life Sciences could be beneficial but not a requirement
