For our international partner, Roche Glycart AG based in Schlieren ZH, we are looking for a qualified and motivated
Research Associate for one year with option for extension.
Tasks:
- Ordering and registration of DNA and proteins
- Generation of long linear DNA fragments and/or plasmids
- Sequence analysis and data handling
- Maintaining, transfecting, cultivating and harvesting mammalian cells
- Purifying antibodies
- Operating and maintaining automated workflows
- Troubleshooting and optimization of existing workflows
- Regular presentation of the current status and results
Must Haves:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in biology or a related field
- Strong handson experience in stateoftheart cloning techniques
- Experience in mammalian cell culture and transfection
- At least 1 year experience in a laboratory setting with a focus on molecular biology
- Experience in protein purification
- Good computer skills and technical flair (G-Suite or MS Office)
- Fluency in English
- Proactive personality and drive to optimize workflows
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Haves:
- Familiarity with lab automation
