- Manage and maintain backup systems, ensuring timely and successful completion of backup jobs.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure swift recovery in the event of system failures.
- Monitor and optimize storage resources to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate recovery processes into overall IT resilience planning.
- Implement security measures to protect backup data from unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular training sessions for end-users and IT staff on data protection and recovery best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of backup and recovery procedures, configurations, and incident response plans.
- Actively participate in incident response activities, especially in the event of data loss or
- security incidents.
- 5+ years' experience of working as an IT System Engineer or relevant position
- Proven experience in storage and backup recovery role
- Strong understanding of backup software, storage solutions, and disaster recovery technologies.
- Responsible attitude, understanding the critical importance of IT infrastructure.
- Stress resistance, strong communication skills
- Fluent German and English is a must
