The Sales Manager (M/F/d) is responsible for growing the company's global third party logistics business in an assigned territory, in accordance with corporate objectives (i.e.

revenue & profit targets, product growth initiatives, etc.).

He / She serves as the main sales contact point for prospects and the sales account owner for customers assigned in their region.

They must also find and develop qualified leads, then convert them through the sales process into prospects and customers.

He / She is a highly motivated individual with a strong import/export ocean (NVOCC) and air transportation skill set, capable of developing compelling value propositions that foster strong relationships.


Your key tasks are:


  • Acquisition of new customers per Branchspecific strategic guidelines and maintenance as well as development of existing customers in assigned customer portfolio.
  • Execute and control sales activities in line with given strategic guidelines for assigned customer portfolio as per given sales targets.
  • Conduct customer acquisition, i.e. gain new business with flagged target accounts.
  • Ensure customer retention, i.e. develop and maintain business with existing accounts.
  • Update CRM with customer information, visiting reports and business opportunities.
  • Buildup and actively manage a Sales Pipeline through the sales cycle phases 1 to
  • Support Country Tender Management on RFQ's of assigned accounts.
  • Assure successful customer integration to Operations through proper sales handover document.
  • Instruct Sales Coordinator to maintain customer tariffs and to upload into CW
  • Generate sales leads and share within the network as per defined process.
  • Ensure all global sales policies, processes and guidelines are adhered.

Skills & Competencies:


  • Business administration / commercial background
  • Relevant working experience (minimum 5 years), Industry experience (minimum 3 years), Sales experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Functional knowhow in Airfreight, Ocean Freight, Customs Clearance and Logistics
  • Deep local market knowledge (customers and competitors)
  • Strong sales knowhow and capability of independently meeting expected sales goals
  • Able to manage crossfunctional interfaces (Relationship building and maintenance with Customers, Operations and ISP's)
  • Organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, delegate and control)
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making Skills
  • Negotiation & Persuasion Skill
  • Presentation Skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English, German is an asset
