    Job Description

  • Build and maintain strong, in-person counterparty and trading relationships to enable MET's abilities to trade the full potential of our portfolio
  • Support the sourcing and negotiation of structured Power and Gas deals in CWE / SWE (with a focus on Italy, where France or Spain is a plus)
  • Understand and advise on the counterparty business needs, and internal and decision-making structure to enhance the business relationship and deal execution process
  • Develop, negotiate and execute power purchase and sales agreements (PPAs and SPAs) with customers and suppliers to maximize OTC liquidity in MET's active markets
  • Structure and market non-standard products (options, cross-commodity products, corporate PPAs) within the counterparty network
  • Develop, negotiate and execute physical and financial deals with wholesale and industrial players
  • Develop, negotiate and execute physical and financial deals with MET subsidiaries, supporting the local Power and Gas origination
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and deal lifecycles to ensure compliance with internal execution deadlines
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Credit, Risk, Ops, Treasury, et al., to onboard new counterparties and to review, negotiate, and execute legal contracts
  • Support the execution documentation and scheduling of standard and structured products
  • Elaborate on business case proposals and contribute to commercial development strategies
  • Work closely with internal teams on both the power and gas trading desks, analysts and other originators
  • Participate in industry events and forums to promote the company's brand and enhance its reputation in the market, extending MET's reach beyond the currently existing geographies
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, engineering, or similar
  • A minimum of 3-8 years, specifically operating in the Energy sector with an established network
  • Knowledge of energy market dynamics, risk management best practices, and standard products
  • Relevant experience with Power and Gas deals, market access for storage and/or battery agreements
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial drive to achieve PnL
  • Strong customer focus approach to business, networking, and social skills
  • Fluent in English and Italian or Spanish
