    [What the role is]

    SENIOR / EXECUTIVE PLANNER / PLANNER, ACTIVE MOBILITY

    [What you will be working on]

    The Active Mobility Group develops, promotes and regulates the use of active mobility (cycling, riding personal mobility devices, using personal mobility aids, and walking) as a key strategy in LTA's Walk Cycle Ride vision.

    This includes overseeing the full value chain of activities from conceptualisation and planning to regulation and communications.

    There are 5 main aspects of the Group's work on

    Active Mobility:
    i. Planning
    ii. Infrastructure Design
    iii. Promotion and Engagement
    iv. Regulatory Policy
    v. Device Sharing
    vi. Active Mobility Device Import Control

    We seek a dynamic individual with strong analytical and communication skills, and an interest in walking, cycling, transport and urban planning.

    You will be working on the planning of Active Mobility infrastructure (e.g. cycling path, bicycle parking, end-of-trip facilities) to encourage walking, cycling and using of personal mobility device as a green, healthy and enjoyable way to travel.

    You will work closely with other government agencies to develop the plans and provide planning advice for both ongoing and future developments, to ensure active mobility infrastructure is well integrated with the development and urban surroundings.

    In addition, you will design, plan and supervise data collection strategies and activities, analyse the data to inform planning, and interpret survey results.

    You will also have opportunities to organise and coordinate events to generate public mindshare and promote active mobility.

    [What we are looking for]


    • Tertiary qualification preferably in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Economics, Geography, Engineering System Design, Transport Engineering, Transport Planning, Town/Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
    • At least 2 years of experience in urban or transport planning. Those with relevant experience in urban and transport planning as well as strong analytical capabilities can be considered for a more senior position.
    • Experience, knowledge or research on both local and overseas planning of Active Mobility infrastructure will be an advantage
    • Experience in ArcGIS, Microstation / AutoCAD will be preferred
    • Experience in land use planning, transport planning and transport modelling simulation techniques, and knowledge of pedestrian and cyclist demand modelling and simulation tools will be an advantage
    • Excellent communication and writing skills
