Your Contribution:


  • As part of the global R&D Department you are actively shaping SCHOTT Pharma's innovation culture
  • You define and implement new processes for the structured identification of innovations
  • You develop concepts for and conduct innovation workshops with interdisciplinary teams
  • You act as sparring partner for product management, business development and R&D to critically question and challenge models, projections, and assumptions
  • You combine internal and external perspectives on innovations and trends to derive a coherent picture to derive and initiate suitable followup activities like studies and predevelopment projects
  • You are working closely with the IP Management team to ensure the information exchange necessary for the protection of our innovations
  • You are responsible for creating and implementing overarching innovation roadmap processes, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders throughout the company
  • You ensure that innovation activities and company strategy are linked in a meaningful and sustainable way

Your Profile:


  • Excellent degree in sciences or engineering (Master/PhD)
  • Basic knowledge in economics and business administration
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the Pharma or Life Sciences sector, preferably with focus on innovation management or trend and technology scouting
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; German is of advantage
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in lateral leadership
  • Experience in creativity and forecast methods, e.g. scenario analysis, workshop moderation and business model development
  • Excellent partner management and relationship building skills
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders across different functions and hierarchical levels
  • Pronounced holistic thinking with a longterm horizon
