We are now looking for a Youth Tournaments Manager that is part of FIFA and supports us on our mission.


The Position

These are your key tasks:


  • Supporting the Head of Youth Tournaments in delivery of tasks and duties
  • Contributing to the overall coordination, implementation, and management of the FIFA Women's Youth Tournaments (WYT) as assigned by the Head of department
  • Responsible for coordinating all WYT aspects amongst FIFA divisions, Organising Associations, stadiums and host cities, local authorities, and contractors
  • Developing and implementing a planning roadmap for WYT from bidding to delivery
  • Collating refines, and manages policies and requirements (stadiums, training sites, services, etc.) for WYT to be delivered against
  • Identifying all risks and issues associated with the tournament operations and delivery
  • Ensuring the development of tournament operational concepts in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring time delivery of venues (focal point for Venue Directors during tournament)
  • Coordinating FIFA site inspection visits and working meeting visits
  • Providing guidance to other FIFA departments to ensure that FIFA's operations are aligned with the overall WYT strategy

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • A degree from a recognized university
  • At least 5 years' experience in sport governing body administration
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficiency in any other FIFA language especially French or Spanish is an asset
  • Discretion & High level of accountability
  • Teamoriented/teamplayer, with a cooperative/consultative approach
  • Innovative and diplomatic, with strong cultural sensitivity
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
  • Willingness to travel
