About the Role

Services Procurement (VP) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and execution of services procurement programs within the organization.

This role involves leading a team of professionals to ensure the successful sales and delivery of Services Procurement projects, managing client relationships, and driving operational excellence.

The Vice President will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to optimize services procurement processes, drive profitability, and exceed client expectations.

Additionally, this role involves defining the strategic direction of services procurement products, ensuring their alignment with market needs and client expectations, and driving product innovation and profitability.

This leadership position will provide strategic vision, guidance and coaching for the overall mission to the Magnit Services Procurement team both in source-to-pay (S2P), source-to-contract (S2C) and procure-to-pay (P2P) services to ensure clients are provided best in class support and innovation to drive opportunities.

The Vice President is a self-driven professional, comfortable engaging client executives, sales prospects, vendors and internal departments and procurement.

Day In the Life


A typical day may involve driving the global strategy and go-to-market for our clients' services procurement program, working closely with client executives, strategic partners, sourcing and category management teams, client hiring and project managers, vendors, and cross functional teams, and will leverage our award-winning software, Magnit VMS or a third-party VMS as requested by the client for services procurement delivery.

The VP will align with client executives on business planning, global program initiatives, identifying operational efficiencies and technology improvements that strengthen financial results.

This individual will establish effective ongoing relationships with client c-suite and vendor key business partners to ensure sourcing is integrated into the strategy of business and involved upfront in sourcing decisions.

The VP will assemble and lead the Services Procurement operational team to ensure program alignment, execution of strategic initiatives and business value creation to achieve targets on the client side and Magnit side.

The Services Procurement VP will oversee the operational team that leads negotiations and implementations of strategy with strong focus on obtaining client adoption and vendor adoption to achieve sales and savings targets.

The VP has a keen eye for identifying areas of opportunity and collaborate with client services and sales assessing new business and expansion opportunities.

As our clients often operate globally, this may involve working with clients, vendors, and workers all over the world. Specific activities will vary based on client and location.


What You Will Do

Develop and implement the services procurement strategy:

  • Define the strategic direction and goals for services procurement within the MSP, aligning it with the organization's overall objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the services procurement process, drive cost savings, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in services procurement and supply chain management.

Manage supplier and partner relationships:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring their compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and supplier assessments to monitor and measure supplier performance.

Oversee services procurement operations team:

  • Develop and implement standardized processes and workflows for services procurement, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
