Job Description Summary:

The job holder ensures tracking of the Wind Modules delivery and coordination of all parties involed, from factory planning to customer logistic coordination, including assembly and testing, packing, change management, quality records, and readiness for shipping.

He reports to the Project Manager, and he is in charge of the final inspection of the Modules.

Role Summary/Purpose


The GE site in Oberentfelden is a competence center for the development, production and service of metal-enclosed, gas-insulated high-voltage switchgears, their components and drives.


The Delivery Coordinator ensures tracking of the Wind Modules delivery and coordination of all parties involved, from factory planning to customer logistic coordination, including assembly and testing, packing, change management, quality records, and readiness for shipping.

The Delivery Coordinator reports to the Project Manager and oversees the final inspection of the modules.

Your Tasks

  • To consolidate and maintain the uptodate tracking of the modules status and forecast the testing/completion/delivery date, as well as the location of the modules whether in normal process, temporary storage in the factory, rework activities, or external storage.
  • To conduct final inspections and issue the final inspection report for each module.
  • To gather and transmit to the customer all the required documentation specific for each module (quality dossier, inspection records, etc.)
  • To proactively communicate within the factory with regards to the above tasks. To highlight issues and ensure alignment of all parties. To report the issues that cannot be solved directly. To block the module release if any issue is open.
  • To track the delivery and invoicing status of the modules. To update and communicate weekly the delivery and invoicing forecast. To compile the inspection reports sent by the customer upon reception/handover.
  • To support the settingup of the tracking/reporting tools, to propose process definitions and ameliorations related to the above duties.
  • To act on behalf of the Project Manager and/or Secondary Engineer to issue the stop order on a nonconformant module.
  • Comply with our companyvalues and our internal environmental, health and safety regulations (EHS) and with the relevant organizational processes of the management system.
Your Profile

  • Technical apprenticeship with further education in quality inspection
  • Ideally, experience with our product gasinsulated switchgears
  • Good command of MS Excel, and preferably Smartsheet
  • Understanding of safety and quality standards on a factory floor
  • Experience in scheduling, project management, customer service, supply chain is a plus
  • Proficient in German and good command of English (B2)
