Your 'day to day'


As a Manager Project & Portfolio Intelligence you will be responsible for leading and supervising robust data-driven insights into the Life Sciences (LS) portfolio to inform strong decision-making and portfolio governance, for driving the improvement, deployment, maintenance and adherence to the LS practices, processes and tools on portfolio and project management, acting as the strategic contact point between Life Sciences sub-functions and other departments.

More specifically, you'll

  • Define the consumercentric datadriven reporting strategy to inform decisions by key teams and senior leaders on the Life Sciences portfolio, leading and coaching a team that:
  • Is responsible for the project management tools and services support for all LS areas
  • Establishes the Service Management for Life Science users (bugs, new releases,) with IT and oversees ticket resolution with support team and software vendors
  • Understands LS portfolio needs and defines strategies for data analysis and reporting using PowerBI and existing tools
  • Drives the optimal digitalization of the LS project and portfolio management tools (ePPM/Power BI, other standard PMI tools), retiring/replacing historical systems in excel spreadsheets and legacy databases
  • Performs implementations, change management and problem solving aiming at adoption by LS of our tools/processes, in collaboration with the Transformation and Business Engagement team and other area/subfunctional leaders.
  • Define the strategy for resource management in Life Sciences in alignment with other functions, by leading, coaching and supporting the team that:
  • Implements updates of the Resource Breakdown Structure (in collaboration with Finance/P&C) into ePPM
  • Performs resource requests & allocations for the subfunction
  • Defines reporting across LS and performs data analysis, cleaning and corrections
  • Supports subfunctions for allocation of our resources
  • Supports other subfunctions/areas on resource supply / request / allocation activities
  • Represent LS in Cross-Functional User Councils and PMO committees, and is accountable for the leadership and execution of all LS work packages in the crossfunctional master plan; Support project manager(s) who drive the detailed implementation of specific work packages (e.g. related to data migrations, business planning and resource management)
  • Support the LS governance framework providing robust data informing e.g. intake, change, prioritization decisions, using data repositories, as well as providing training and supporting the teams to ensure timely decisions are made based on relevant, uptodate and robust data
  • Monitor and optimize our performance management cockpit, the OGSMs (similar to OKR methodology) and related metrics, raise risks & issues to portfolio managers, enabling their resolution in the governance forums
  • Lead collaboration and communication among senior leaders. Mentor/coach on good practice for committees to advise and ensure effective decision making and corrective action where required, as well as accurate status reporting
  • Supervise a team of employees and consultants, by following the best methodologies on agile leadership and adhering to the corporate P&C models, principles, establishing a culture of teamwork, collaboration and trust.
Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or ideally Master's degree / PhD in Finance, Strategic Management, Business Management, Project Management or equivalent relevant experience
  • Substantial experience in leading the governance and/or datadriven portfolio/resource management processes and tools in large Consulting, FMCG, pharmaceutical companies or multinationals in other industries
  • Substantial experience working within a projectcentric matrix organization as a strategy, portfolio, program and/or project manager
  • High flexibility to learn and work across several knowledge areas and supervise integrated plans, risks, changes, budget and resources
  • Excellent communication skill
