Reporting to the Director of Brand & marketing, the role holder will have responsibility for the implementation of the Communications strategy for SMB.

The role holder will also be responsible for the activation of all communications campaigns across eir's retail stores.

Finally, the role holder will be responsible for the management of all acquisition communications through the BTL channel and to work closely with the CVM team to ensure the main eir brand strategy is aligned to BTL comms.

Particular attention will be needed for the communication of eir's ongoing urban FttH rollout and the role holder will be responsible for the establishment of a communication strategy for this crucial eir project.


Expectations From The Role:


The role holder will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Planning, development and execution of the SMB communications strategy including the delivery of all agreed campaigns.
  • Planning, development and execution of the Retail Marketing and BTL Acquisition comms strategy including aligning this with their brand positioning.
  • Set the communications strategy for the agreed SMB roadmap. Work closely with CVM to ensure an ongoing roadmap of comms to our SMB base are at the core of the communications strategy.
  • Take ownership of all marketingoperations processes for SMB, Retail Marketing and Acquisition BTL including liaison with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with wider eir Marketing Team to ensure the SMB strategy is in line with overarching marketing activity. In particular, ensure digital marketing are fully briefed on all campaigns to ensure full activation across all communication platforms and make sure wider Comms team are aware of all key activities to maximise crossbrand opportunities.
  • Ensure all campaigns (eir, eir sport and sponsorship) are realised fully in all retail channels.
  • Work with the indirect Retail team to ensure all eir activity is onbrand.
  • Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and inbudget.

Strategy:


  • Contribute to the development of the overall brand and comms strategy for eir.
  • Develop & champion the eir SMB comms roadmap.
  • Develop & champion a comms plan for the upcoming urban FttH rollout.
  • Work closely with the Retail Sales team to help define the Retail Marketing strategy.
  • Work with the Director of Brand & Marketing on eir brand positioning evolution and the role of SMB and our Retail chain should play in this evolution.

Execution:


  • Responsible for the development and effective execution of the all comms plans to deliver commercial KPIs for SMB.
  • Responsible for the development and effective execution of Retail Marketing to support brand and commercial KPIs for eir (including SMB).
  • Management of the overall SMB comms roadmap and delivery of same.
  • Ensure all SMB comms for are in line with established brand guidelines (e.g. look and feel, tone of voice, etc.)
  • Work with the Sales and Propositions teams to evaluate all relevant comms activity for Retail. Attend weekly eir sales meetings (including frequent visits to stores and retail mgr conferences) to ensure all strategic and operational objectives are being met.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure the necessary post campaign analysis is completed to establish best practice messaging, execution & results
  • Support the eir marcomms team on other projects as they develop throughout the year.

Influencing:


  • Build and maintain relationships within key business areas across eir e.g. Sales, Segments & Propositions, Customer Value Management, Digital, Legal & Regulatory, Compliance and other points of contact where necessary.
Prepare and present periodic updates at Senior Management level


Key Performance Indicators:


  • Delivery of KPI targets on: (a) inbound contacts (TSS & Online) (b) campaign effectiveness (c) marketing Opex.
  • Delivery of all activity ontime and within budget

Experience required:


  • 3+ years BTL Communications experience
  • Strong commercial & analytical skills
