The Touring Club Suisse is a major player in road safety for the entire population and for the younger generations.

TCS is involved in the training material and is also implicated in the training itself which already provide a good transfer of information but the simulation of real situation remains the most effective way to retain information for young targeted people.

TCS also developed a mobile game, Weelo, to raise awareness among youth around road safety and teach them good practice.

Virtual reality offers the opportunity to even go further and project people in a situation, close to real conditions, under a controlled and secure environment.

It also allows to gather a large amount of data for a very detailed follow-up of user behaviours to explain and correct observed situations.

Responsibilities:

In this 6-months internship, you will first design, with participation of our road safety team, different scenarios to address key road safety situations.

Then you will develop a VR solution, including the 3D conception of the environment (using predefined 3D assets) that will put users in these situations and let them series of predefined events to analyse their reactions and rate their comportment.

The solution will need to automatically track user behaviour and let teacher analyse the result and be able to compare it with other users.

You will:

Design the scenarios to be implemented with the goal and KPI to measure
Implement a core VR solution on a Quest 2 VR headset
Implement the different scenarios
Gather information from the usage of the solution and push it to a cloud backend
Implement a reporting mechanism to let a teacher analyze a user session, highlighting events and user reactions

Must Have Requirements

Software engineering and programming
Unity development knowledge, VR experience is a plus
Interest in game design and gamification in general
