Beschreibung
The Director, Finance will be responsible for all financial operations of Kiniksa's international locations.

This role with be the key finance business partner to the local leadership teams across all aspects of financial planning and analysis, accounting operations and tax compliance.

This position will leverage the global corporate finance resources to provide superior financial support and guidance for our expanding international offices.

The role will collaborate significantly with all core functions in the USA and Europe.

This role is based in our Zug, Switzerland office. Our office-based employees follow a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office, and 1 day remote.


Responsibilities _(including, but not limited to)_**:

  • Lead the development of the international finance function fostering high levels of performance and collaboration
  • Offer valuable insights and guidance to local office heads, leveraging crossfunctional teams (including financial reporting, accounting operations, and tax) to ensure that office heads receive comprehensive support
  • Oversee the maintenance of high standards of control and compliance while driving continuous improvements.
  • Perform transfer pricing, intercompany invoicing and quarterly assessment and updates
  • Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are properly designed and operating effectively
  • Coordinate statutory audits and tax filings across international entities
  • Coordinate tax compliance including managing the preparation of local income tax returns, VAT filings and employment taxes
  • Support companywide FP&A process; assist local leadership in their preparation of quarterly forecasts with a focus on accuracy
  • Review monthly performance and incorporate variances into subsequent forecasts
  • Support global treasury management, including but not limited to cash planning and cash movements
  • Support global procure to payment process and teams, in regards to local purchasing, accounts payable, cash disbursement and vendor management
  • Support global employee compensation functions, including but not limited to payroll, equity and benefits
  • Provide local general and administrative support for corporate legal, human resources, IT & facility functions
  • Ad hoc analysis and other special projects as assigned

Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of experience in progressive finance roles, experience leading subsidiary/plant finance operations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or professional accounting designation preferred
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of a multinational biotechnology company
  • Experience in supporting and collaborating with teams crossborders (e.g., Across Europe & USA)
  • Strong team player with a positive and solutionoriented approach
  • Ability to work independently as well as with other groups across the business
  • Stays in touch maintains line of sight to team and company priorities; understands and values all areas of business. Creates connections beyond own role/function
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multidisciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors
  • Strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)

Competency Expectations:


  • Essential: Fluent in English and Swiss German with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desirable (if English is not mother tongue): Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) certification of C1 Business Higher or equivalent in English
  • Executes to a high standard acts with a sense of urgency, with the end result in mind and is able to follow through to deliver exceptional results.
  • Resourceful applies creative, original ideas to accomplish work; identifies more than one way to solve problems
