Overview:

You'll be joining the EMEA Quality Oversight team of the CB, IB, CRU KYC Operations division of Deutsche Bank.

KYC Operations plays an integral part in the firm's first line of defense against financial crime by defining and sustaining Client Record Data for CIB through the Know Your Client - (KYC) lifecycle.

KYC Operations works closely with the Business and Anti Financial Crime (AFC) to ensure that their requirements are met to create pristine Client Records.

The role has regional coverage and requires strong KYC skills to drive quality agenda across the region.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To support the Head of Quality Oversight EMEA in executing the quality framework across the region.
  • To support the control and oversight for the Quality Assurance (QA) findings for DB's client files for the region. To ensure these are captured and managed within the relevant timeframes and relevant findings are investigated and overturned where applicable.
  • To prepare summarised themes for reporting, based on identified fails and to consolidate thematic fails for senior stakeholder and maker/ checker feedback.
  • To ensure all findings are translated to training and performance action plans, where necessary. To coordinate all root cause/ action plans/ consequence management for QA fails, with respective KYC OPS team.
  • To support preparation for Fail Appeal Forum and deliberations for senior management arbitration calls.
  • To engage with QA's KPMG coordinators to ensure all KPMG reviewed files are addressed for commentary/ challenge, by the respective KYC OPS teams.
  • Assist in review of KPMG responses to ensure responses are to a high quality and challenges are sound and in line with Policy
  • To Collate and report KPMG fail root cause/ themes for ongoing improvement initiatives and management reporting
  • To track, monitor and report the remediation status of QA & KPMG failings for EMEA.
  • To perform 6eyechecks to ensure failed files have been remediated successfully, when required
  • To assist Head of Quality Oversight with ad hoc requests and management reporting where required
  • To assist with collating and consolidating fortnightly/ monthly tasks, reaching out for feedback from large stakeholder group/ multiple countries
  • To attend and in absence of Head of Quality Oversight EMEA represent EMEA in relevant and regular calls with global quality team, QA, and EMEA branches.

Qualifications and skills:


  • Strong KYC skills: Experience working with CDD & EDD KYC records/ AML requirements. This must include indepth knowledge of PEPs, Trusts, Foundations, Funds, Corporate Clients, screening tools and discounting of screening hits
  • KYC systemknowledge and Quality Checking experience would be extremely beneficial
  • Passionate about the Quality of KYC Client records, in meeting DB and regulatory requirements
  • Able to articulate clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders and during QA challenge discussions
  • Proven organisational skills to ensure deadlines and priorities are managed to meet agreed timelines, without becoming overdue
  • Excellent Communication skills, written and oral
  • Expertise in the use of Outlook, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • A clear critical thinker with ability to work on stringent deadlines and commitments
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in line with business requirements at the time
  • Selfmotivated and independent thinker
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in oral and written English is essential
