You would join a team of specialists charged with managing the firm's liquidity, capital and risk, and providing the overall financial control and reporting functions.

Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firm's counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firm's success.

About our client

On behalf of our client, a multinational investment bank, Swisslinx is currently looking for a Financial Accountant / Controller.

This is a 6-month contracting opportunity based in Zurich with the potential to extend thereafter.

Responsibilities:

Preparation and analysis of financial accounts and reporting under Swiss and US GAAP, including various reporting to the US for consolidation purposes
Preparation of Statutory accounts under Swiss GAAP, interaction with Auditors
Swiss Tax reporting (Corporate taxes, VAT and transactional taxes) and coordinating with the European and US Tax teams on local and foreign tax issues, involvement in Transfer Pricing and interaction with local tax authorities and support or tax audits
Coordination and controlling of the Bank's business activities including Credit risk on loans, bank guarantees and derivatives; and Market risk on currency exposure positions.
Participation in global financial/regulatory projects (automations, systems developments, new products)
Assist in Regulatory reporting (liquidity, statistical reporting)

Your background

Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance/Accounting with 23 years professional experience in Financial Reporting/Audit within the Financial Services sector
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organization skills and flexible
Excellent communication skills and team player
Fluency in English mandatory, German will be desirable
