In our Research and Development Center in Cham, we are currently focused on developing an embedded devices platform for the rapidly growing smart metering sector.

To enhance our platform development team for our next-generation metering platform, we are seeking a passionate and result-oriented Firmware Architect / Engineer to join our Platform Team.

• In this challenging engineering position, you will be responsible for firmware development within the global platform team.

Working closely with the Lead Architect of the Platform, you will lead the drive towards enhancing the architecture and ensuring the quality of all our deliveries.

The platform serves as the foundation of our future Smart Residential and ICG metering portfolio on a global scale.

Alongside a team of approximately 90 specialists spread between Switzerland and India, you will specify, develop, and verify innovative, high-quality embedded software in an agile environment utilizing state-of-the-art tools and processes.

You will also collaborate with various product teams distributed globally.

Your profile:

- A degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering FH / ETH completed

- Practical experience in object-oriented, embedded software development (C++) utilizing an RTOS (ThreadX, embOS)

- Good understanding of software design and patterns

- Experience and interest in agile development methods and practices, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement

- Good communication skills in English and preferably German, written and spoken

- Self-motivated and open-minded, a team player with a strong will to succeed
