    Your responsibilities

    The appointee will work closely with members of the group and contribute to the intellectual life of the small but lively unit.

    They will have ample time to pursue their research and will be expected to apply for fellowships and grants during their tenure.

    Postdoctoral fellows' responsibilities also include contributing to the delivery of teaching at all levels (usually no more than one course unit per semester in collaboration with other group members).

    Your profile

    We welcome applications from scholars with research expertise in any aspect of the history of medicine, in any region of the world, with preference for projects that focus on the recent history of medicine and make strong connections with issues of contemporary relevance.

    We particularly welcome applications from women and minority scholars. Usable German language skills are essential at the start of the job, even if English is the first language. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to be in residence for the duration of the fellowship.
