Responsibilities

  • Performing complex syntheses of pharmaceutical intermediates on various, complex multi-purpose plants
  • Performing drying and grinding processes
  • Leading a team of equipment and being the point of contact for interfaces
  • Flexible use within the plant park to cover peak loads
  • Supporting the shift leader in guiding and supervising new employees, as well as troubleshooting and cause analysis
  • Helping to ensure the observance of safety and GMP guidelines within the shift group
  • Proactively participating in the continuous improvement process within chemical/physical production and implementing assigned technical and/or process-related optimizations

Qualifications

  • Completed education as a chemist and pharmaceutical technologist, chemist, or comparable education
  • Several years of experience in chemical production, good knowledge in the field of chemical technology/plant technology, combined with the ability to pass on existing knowledge to colleagues in the course of training
  • Desirable: experience in leading roles (mentoring, team leadership)
  • Knowledge or ability to operate all plants within the assigned departments
  • Is a role model for their team colleagues within the shift team in terms of safety and GMP behavior and can also provide support as needed
  • Can take on a function as a team supporter within the group and, due to their high social competence, intervene in conflict situations in a moderating manner
