PhD position between the University of Zurich and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in sustainable mobility, aiming to understand strategies, processes, and skills that enable firms in the digital economy to generate innovations.

School:
School of Engineering

Starting date:
September 1st, 2023 or by agreement

Your role*:

The position is related to a DIZH Bridge professorship between ZHAW and UZH.

You will work on research projects that aim at understanding the strategies, processes, and skills that enable firms in the digital economy to generate innovations systematically and continuously, specifically in the area of mobility and transportation.

As a PhD Student, you will become part of the PhD program offered by the Graduate School of Business at the University of Zurich.

You will conduct research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Anja Schulze (University of Zurich) and Prof. Dr. Maike Scherrer (ZHAW).

Your profile*:

A university graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics or related fields and excellent grades
Strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills (English required, German is of advantage)
Motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team and across institutions
Experience in conducting empirical qualitative or quantitative research (e.g., exemplified by an empirical Master Thesis) will be regarded as a valuable asset
