- Designing epidemiological and health systems studies
- Statistical analysis of observational and trial data
- Methodological supervision of MSc and PhD projects
- Writing statistical analysis plans
- Drafting and editing research manuscripts
- Taking part in teaching activities
- Strong statistical skills eg MSc or PhD in (bio)statistics, or PhD in another quantitative discipline
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, ideally in an academic environment
- An interest in working with environmental exposure and non-communicable disease data.
- Good overview of epidemiological study designs and excellent statistical programming skills, and commitment to best practices in research, particularly computational reproducibility
- Assertive personality; ability to make decisions and take responsibility. Ability to communicate effectively with researchers without quantitative backgrounds. Strong team spirit and willingness to share skills and knowledge with others
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken
- Desirable skills and experience: Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects simultaneously; previous experience of statistical consulting; experience in research or implementation in low- and middle-income countries and experience with data from routine monitoring and registries.
