Rohan Pokratath

I am a PhD candidate in material chemistry at University of Basel, where I am conducting cutting-edge research on colloidal systems and nanoparticles for various applications. I have a strong background in materials science and chemical engineering, with a master's degree from IIT Bombay and a bachelor's degree from Kerala University.

As an exchange researcher at Columbia University, I contributed to a significant project on the synthesis and characterization of gold nanorods for biomedical imaging and drug delivery. I also have two years of industry experience as a process engineer at Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited, where I optimized the production and quality of polyethylene products. I have multiple patents, publications, and awards, including the DAAD Fellowship and the Best Poster Award at international conferences.

My core competencies include nanoparticles, colloids, research and development, and analytical techniques. I am passionate about solving complex problems and creating innovative solutions that can benefit society and the environment. I am also proficient in English, Hindi, and Malayalam, and enjoy collaborating with diverse and interdisciplinary teams.
